Student Council Community Message Board: Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: If a classmate needs homework, can I send it through a Private Message?
A: Yes you can.

Q: Can I ask a teacher for homework or about X?
A: No. There is no reason why you should need to PM (Private Message) a teacher for anything. It could get you banned. Exceptions are allotted at the staff member’s discretion.

Q: Are parents allowed to register?
A: Parents are allowed to register. We like to know what the parents think of our school and our council. We welcome their suggestions and feedback.

Q: How should a parent register?
A: Parents can register as Mr or Mrs X. They can also register with their full name, it is their preference.

Q: What kind of information can I find on these boards?
A: You can find answers to your questions. You can also talk to other students about the school and school wide events ran by your Student Council or group.

Q: Do I have to be a student of your school to register?
A: No. We encourage those prospective students to take a look a what we do and who we are. When you go to register, please put "VRAG" before you type your name. For example. If I am Jim Hopper, I will type in " VRAG Jim Hopper" as my username. There is a category open for you to ask questions about the school or Student Council. Parents can also register, but must have VRAG written in front of your name.

Q: You just said a group, can teams and clubs have their own category?
A: Yes you can. However, they will not be private as we encourage open channels between everyone. Keeping them public also encourages new members to your group.

Q: How do I register my group for a category?
A: Talk to the one of the Teachers overseeing Student Council or send an email to editor321@gmail.com. You can also send a PM to a Moderator or Admin.

Q: What happens if I get banned? Am I in trouble?
A: No. The only thing that happens is you can no longer access the boards to post or read posts. No action will be taken unless you do something incredibly dumb. See the Terms of Use.

Q: Am I allowed to talk about things that are not Student Council/Group or School related?
A: There is an Off Topic area under the General Category where non-related posts can go, however we do not encourage use of it as the focus of the Community is the school and related activities.

Q: I am not sure if I can do something, who do I ask?
A: Ask a Moderator or Admin. Ignorance is NOT bliss and we can all hear you.

Q: I am scared to post with these rules. I feel that I may do something wrong and get removed.
A: As long as you don't do anything to make another person upset you are generally in the clear. Just respect all the members and they will do the same for you.
